So when I click "check for updates" in iTunes, it goes "accessing iTunes Store" and then jumps back the the apple logo (tried restarting computer) and on the iPhone/iPod Touch, it says "cannot connect to iTunes Store". iTunes and iPod Touch/iPhone firmware is all the latest.

Help?

I think its a problem with Apples servers. I am having the same issue as well (its been off and on today for me).

anybody else having problems lately with updateing apps?

good to see i'm not the only one. I'm in Singapore btw. Also, the iTunes Store works fine. Loading works fine, not even slow.

I would check your firewall, make sure it allows itunes to access the internet one hundred percent of the time ("always allow"). If that doesn't work, I would log in and log out of your Itunes account in itunes. If THAT doesn't work reinstall itunes. If that fails, call Apple support.

You might want to try running that diagnostics thing in itunes. I used that when I was a windows only user and that tended to help me diagnose the problem. However, I couldn't find that option on my Mac when I was searching for it for you. Hmmmmmm....

Hope at least one of those options help!!

I use a mac so I don't have a firewall. Tried logging in and out already. And how do you exactly reinstall iTunes on a mac? lol Thanks though. All other features work (I tried updating Genius, worked. Can still browse the store)

You can reinstall iTunes on a Mac. Just go to www.apple.com/iTunes/download and then select what version of OS X you are running and then select download! It's that easy. :D

reinstalled, same issue. :( Btw, I tried to buy an app, it worked. So its only solely updating that is the problem.

Hmmmm... That is very wierd. With itunes reinstalled, does it show updates when you click "check for updates"?

No, what it does is when I click "check for updates", it says at the top "Accessing iTunes Store", with the loading bar (the striped one) below. Then, after like 10 seconds, it changes back to the Apple Logo as if I didn't click anything at all. When I try to check for updates on iPhone, it says "cannot connect to iTunes Store".
