After a longtime, I tried updating the apps through iTunes. I updated apps in the iTunes and then tried syncing the iPhone though iTunes but it just won't update as it used to do earlier.

Has apple stopped allowing to update the apps through iTunes. Before delta apps thinning, it used to be a boon as I have multiple iOS devices and updating them individually is a pain.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

No issue here. I can download all the updates via iTunes, plug my device in, and it will update the apps on my devices.

What happens if you manually click "update" to each app before you hit sync? After I started using iCloud backups, I have to do this if I want to update apps from iTunes.

Thats what i did. I selected all apps and then selected update. It downloaded the updated ipa files of all apps. But when i sync my iphone, it does not update apps on my iphone.

You missed what he is talking about. When you are the iOS device page, clicks apps on the left, then click update next to each app for the device. Then click sync.

Ohhh. Now i understood what you are trying to say. However, It also started working out of the blue just like old days. Clicked sync and all the apps are now updated.
