The title says it all. I cannot update Apps on my iPhone without first deleting them and them downloading the updated version. I have tried this using the App Store link on the iPhone and by syncing the iPhone using iTunes. Neither method works. The updates are free, so that's not the problem. It's the Apps that have data entered into them that are the problem. If I delete them, I lose the data. Any ideas?

Is your springboard filled up by chance? I have 9 pages of apps and I have to have at least one spot free to do any upgrades.

Mine did the same thing. I had to do a full restore. I had to not restore from the backup. It was a pain but I did it and it fixed the problem. I took screenshots of every page so I could put my apps back in the same spot. you might try to do the same thing.

oh and make sure you get the pictures off your phone before you do this so you can see them on your computer after the restore. :)
