Been scratching my head for a long time now why bootcamp will not seem to want to run on my machine
Have a late 2009 27' Imac with Sierra installed (fresh copy) but it's driving me crazy I keep getting this message over and over no matter what I try:
boot-camp-error.png

I have already looked online and deleted the EFI partition that was on my hard disk, I even removed the recovery partition thinking it could be that also - still same error
Have tried multiple OSX versions (Lion,Yosemite, etc) and the same happens each time
Hard disk is formatted in Mac OS EX Journalised
This is driving me nuts!

I suggest you post in the Windows on Mac section. This is not really a iMac question and you are likely to get more help by asking and searching there.

It is many years since I abandoned Bootcamp (Parallels is a lot less trouble) but I certainly had the message you have a few times. Back then it was necessary to erase whole drive and restore the Mac side from backup and start over with Bootcamp. You should not delete the EFI or Recovery.

Thanks guys managed to sort without using Bootcamp anyway, just downloaded the support files and separately made a partition and installed with a bootable usb that way
