cannot verify Final Cut Pro pkg

So I was about to install FCP, downloaded it from the official website, but when I mount the dmg and try to run the pkg, it's verifying forever with zero progress at all.

What's wrong ?

What's wrong ?

Occasionally OS X will get stuck on verifying DMG files. You can try restarting your Mac with the option reopen windows when logging back in disabled/unticked and try to install the applications again.

Also ensure your OS is fully up-to-date.

The only official way to download Final Cut Pro is through the App Store; there's no dmg to mount. What software do you actually have?
