For the past week I have been unable to view battery level of my Airpods case. As usual, I opened the airpods case with both airpods in the case. Instead of window appearing at bottom screen showing battery percentage of the airpods and the case, I see a window with text “You can temporarily connect AirPods Pro to this iPhone to share audio”.

This makes no sense because the airpods are paired to my iPhone. That is, my airpods connect normally to my phone when I place them in my ears. As well, I can see the airpods listed in Bluetooth sections of settings.

I reset the airpods by 1) deleting them from Bluetooth section in settings and; 2) long pressing the button on back of case for 15 seconds until amber and white blinking lights appeared, as per Apple support doc.

Has anyone else had this problem? And, more importantly, were you able to find resolution?

I've got the Powerbeats pro, (work the same as AirPods with apple's chips).

I have that happen often, the battery widget either on the home screen or in today view will normally show it. The case only shows when open and close

Thanks for the tip! I now see the case battery percentage in the battery widget.
