This past weekend I played with the WIFI transfer feature on my canon but was unable to get it to work. I looked briefly at the manual but was confused. What am I doing wrong? I usually transfer pics via USB to my MacBook Pro but sometimes I may want to transfer pics to my iPhone 12. Can someone respectful please walk me through how to set this up? I’d appreciate it thanks.

Do you have the Canon Camera Connect app on your phone? From there you just click the button to add a device, tell it what device, and it should walk you through all the buttons that need to be pushed on the camera.

@jwolf6589 What camera do you have? The app functions differently if you have a rebel, non-rebel or full frame?

It shouldn't, as long as it's supported by the app. My G5X (PowerShot) and R6 (full frame mirrorless) both transfer photos the same way.

If you're doing this, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both the phone and camera! It can do it on WiFi alone, but then the pairing is a lot more manual instead of automatic.

Had to disable the password on the camera and know it seems to work.
