Trying to help a friend get her old scanner hooked up to her MBP running Monterey.

Canon website says the OS is no longer supported & there are no drivers. Further, that the OS may have drivers included.

Appears the vandals took the handle! Any idea how to get this set up?

Does the scanner need to be turned on & plugged into her Mac first?
