My wife, an attorney, is in the market for a new, basic, wireless laser printer.
The most reliable printer we've ever had is a Canon LBP6000 that we bought fifteen (?) years ago. It's still going strong. Aside from printer cartridges the only thing we've had to replace is the paper feed roller which she managed herself. (I'm too clumsy for such tasks.) It's no speed daemon, but the print quality is great and it never jams.
She's thinking about the Canon imageCLASS LBP6030w which seems to be a descendent of the LBP6000. However, the Canon web site has a bunch of negative reviews from Mac users who say they couldn't get it set up, or working with WiFi and that the only setup info is for Windows. Somehow, I doubt this.
Have you set this printer up to work with WiFi and a Mac? Any other advice?
