canon MG5450 scanner printer+El Capitan

I Have a Canon scanner printer mg 5450 model and have recently downloaded El Capitan. El Capitan appears to be working fine and am getting used to it, even the printer works ok, for printing but not for scanning.

I can't seem to find the drivers for the printer yet! has anyone got link to where i can access the drivers to solve this issue?

I believe Canon like other peripheral makers leave it to OS X for drivers and software. I now have to use Image Capture for my Epson scanner which is crap compared to the Epson software for windows that I can download.

How do you use Image Capture to scan? I have Image Capture and MacBook Pro, El Capitain, Canon MP530 and can't scan
