Canon Powershot: won't import ALL movies!

This is so frustrating! I have attempted to import videos (AVI) onto my Mac from my Canon PowerShot SD1000 using both iPhoto and Image Capture and it will import all movies expect one. For example, if I have 3 movies on my camera, it will import the second and third one, but not the first. It will NEVER import the first thing I taped, only the ones afterward! It will say there are 3 things to import, it can sense all the movies, but it just won't import the first. HELP!

can't import a longer file

i am having a similar problem. i can't import a larger (21 minute) file. i've had this camera for over a year and i've never noticed this problem before. does anyone have an idea as to how i can get this file off my camera? it does play fine in the camera. i've tried iphoto and image capture and neither works.

Get a card reader and copy it over with that.
