Canon Rebel XT/350D users: Which lenses do you own/want?

Being a Canon Rebel XT/350D user myself, I thought it might be interesting to see which lenses other Rebel XT/350D users have and which lenses they would like to one day have.

HAVE
Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (kit lens - don't use it anymore)
Canon 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di

WANT
At the current moment, the only lens I would like to own is the Canon 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM.

None. I am playing with my mom's lenses while I think of what to buy. They are:

I want better lenses desperately, but can't justify the expense yet. I'm thinking:

Canon 50mm f/1.8
Tokina 19-35 f/3.5-4.5

I'd like to get a good main lens, something between 17-24 (or maybe 28) on the low end and 50-105 on the high end, but I can;t figure out what I'd really want. If I could, I'd get this instead of the Tokina.

So in the long term, I'll be selling the 17-85mm (probably after I've bought the 17-40 and the 24-105) and buying a 5D. I'd love the f/2.8 glass, but I can't bring myself to justify the expense, alas. The main reason for the 17-40 and 24-105 in favour of the 17-85 is my desire for full frame, and that mostly stems from my desire to be able to shoot with a fisheye underwater. (Anybody know what the Sigma and/or Tamron fisheye are like on a 1.6 crop body?)

As for the upgrade from the 50mm f/1.8 to the 50mm f/1.4 - it's the bokeh. I can't stand to shoot with the f/1.8 at anything other than f/1.8; the pentagon shape of the background blur really irks me. That's the only thing about that lens that annoys me, and the only reason I want to upgrade it.

I got the 75-300 el cheap when i bought my camera, for like $60usd. some kinda special deal, it's a pretty average lens. urgh.

I want the 70-200, probalby in F4, or maybe with IS.. dunno, for some not-so-distant action shooting.

would love a wide-angle too, and maybe a macro prime of some sort.

I would love to oblomow, but 1000km is a long way to travel just to play with you and your lenses.

...and that mostly stems from my desire to be able to shoot with a fisheye underwater. (Anybody know what the Sigma and/or Tamron fisheye are like on a 1.6 crop body?)

You still get the fisheye effect, but I'm thinking that the FOV is nothing like it would be on a full frame. Here is a link to a thread on fisheyes where I posted a pic from the sigma 15mm f/2.8 on a 1.6x body

I'm not desperate for any lens right now since I really find myself capable of taking a photo of almost everything I want. I'd like more reach, but only slightly more would be fine for me. That, and a better lens for darker, indoor use would be fantastic.

I made a thread a while back to get some help in thinking through my lens-buying strategy. I'm still debating internally.

Have:
- EF 50mm f/1.8 II
- EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II

Want:
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM (for low-light and portaits)
- Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM (for indoor use)
- Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM (for outdoor use)
- Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM (for sports and such)

Lots of people have recommended the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM, as well. I may opt for that and drop the 17-40 to give me f/2.8 on the entire 17-200mm range. This a five-year roadmap for me, which is why I've strayed away from EF-S lenses. If I pickup a full-frame body (a 1Ds or a 5D, for example), I don't want my EF-S investments to be wasted.

I've thought about sinking money into the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM and using it to get a few paying jobs with the local youth/amateur football, soccer, and hockey teams. They might not pay much, but it would be enough to cover the initial cost of the lens and make a good start on the next (17-40 or 17-55, probably). From there, I may abandon my dream for the 24-70 and go straight for the 50mm f/1.2L USM.

I'm jealous of your 70-200. The 17-40 or 16-35 sound like really good buys, it would be nice to replace the kit lens!
