I've just set up a apple based server and there was a hiccup during the copying of a folder from my computer to the server. finder reset for some reason and when i tried to access the partially copied folder on the server to begin again, it's grayed out and it won't show me the contents. there's a locked image file in the folder so i can't trash it. all the suggestions on the net don't touch on this problem. I've even tried to replace the folder by starting the copy again but the server doesn't replace, it just created another with an auto renamed file. Can someone please help me get rid of this folder?

Have you tried rebooting? Your machine may have a hold on the file that won't release.

the file's on the server, not on the computer. do you think it would do any good to reboot the computer? i'm getting the same result when i try to gain access to the folder through one of my other computers on the network. i'll definitely try it when the copy is finished but i thought there may be another way to access the files or override the locked file.
