Can't access incoming Me.com mail

Every time I try to access my icloud/me.com mail on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5), I get the following error: Cannot Get Mail--The connection to the server failed.

I'm able to send mail from my me.com account, I just can't receive it. I'm able to login to icloud.com via the web without any problems whatsoever.

Any thoughts?

Its all related to the upgrade on Wednesday. Give it some more time for all the Apple iCloud servers to clear up.

I'm able to temporarily remedy this problem by turning the phone off and on again. But the error message inevitably pops up after some time. I've also tried deleting my iCloud account from my phone setting it up again, but this too has not solved the problem.

I've searched this forum and Apple's support forums and do not see anyone else having this problem. Am I wrong about that?
