Hi,

I have a problem. I have an iPhone 4 which I got from a friend. I dont know where he got it, but it was broken when I received it. I've installed a new screen and tried to fix it but I've encountered two problems: It's locked with a passcode, and the power button does not work (yet).

I would like to wipe the phone and access it, if possible, before I fix the power button. Is there anyone who knows a solution?

Let it die down till it turns off with no power.
Then open iTunes on your computer. Plug in the iphone and continue holding the home button till iTunes says it has recognized an iphone in recovery mode.
Then restore it. You wont need the passcode.
