I have created a new Admin account on my Mac for business as I want to rearrange the desktop and shortcuts but I still want full access to the HD and all my documents. However, the HD doesn't come up at login, only external drives. What have I done wrong and how do I fix this?

In the new account make sure you go to the Finder's menu item and select in the drop-down 'Preferences'. There you can show items on the desktop.
There's something I'm still not getting. When I try to access my Music folder to populate the iTunes library, the new account says I don't have permissions. Do I have to change permissions in the first account? How do I do this?
Go back into the old account and then go to your User folder, Music and do a 'Get Info' (by either a right-click or Finder View menu) and there add your new User account to Read+Write. See if this helps.
