MP 7,1 Can't access USB Flash Drive EXCEPT in SafeMode

I have a strange problem. Any USB flash drive will not show up on the desktop or disk utility. Other USB devices, such as external drives, microphones, headsets, etc. work fine. If I boot in SAFE mode, then I can access them without problems. Obviously there is a conflict with something, but how do I find out what?

There should be an extra driver for a device you have.

Have you checked out what messages appear in Console when plugging the flash drive in?

Ca n't find any messages that relate to the issue.
