There is a web page that used to work on my iPad 8, that no longer works. I get an "error 1001.....DNS resolution" message. The web site is.....archive.is also archive.ph also archive.today. Basically all the same web page and they work on my Windows 10 computer, fine. I use Chrome and Safari on my iPad and the problem is with both browsers. I also have the Puffin browser installed on the iPad and the web sites work fine in that browser. What could be causing this?

Are you using iCloud Private Relay? If so, try reloading the site without using the relay. Some sites just aren’t compatible with it. Directions to reload the site without the relay can be found at the link below.
Note: iCloud Private Relay only works with Safari, so not sure what’s up with Chrome. Maybe it has its own VPN solution?

I found the problem. That web site does not play well with Cloudflare DNS. I use Google DNS on my computer and Cloudflare on the iPad. I changed to Google DNS on the iPad and the website works now. Here is the reason why: https://jarv.is/notes/cloudflare-dns-archive-is-blocked/
