Have been investigating how I can get my phone to automatically set its own time when I travel to a different time zone.

Turns out this should be an option in the 'General' section of the Settings menu. The option just isn't there. I have jailbroken and unlocked my phone. Is this lack of the auto option down to the jailbreak?

Seems a bit harsh. Anyone else noticed this?

I asked this question in a posting in the Apple forums but it got edited out. It feels good having it confirmed that you're being naughty :)

thanks

This setting appears to have disappeared from 3.0.x. It was in 2.2.x (under General -> Date & Time -> Set Automatically), and now that I have (finally) upgraded to 3.0.1 it is not there.

Is there a carrier-specific settings file that I need to tweak? (in my case, for T-Mobile, dunno about the OP).

Mike
