Can't burn DVDs

I have been trying to burn data onto a DVD but I keep getting the following error:

I'm using Toast7 on a G5 2x2ghz with 10.4.3.

I can burn normal CDs without any problem. I've never tried burning a DVD before so I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I have been getting crappy results myself lately .... (also a G5), in DVD studio pro and finder. I think it is the blank media ... Sony in this case

Change settings

If you were burning CD's you will have to change over to DVD burn/copy,
right under the record button...open menu and select DVD...it was probably set to CD from before!
