cant charge AirPods with 30 watt charger.

I have a anker charger with a usb c 30 watt output. it charges my phone great but if I tried to charge AirPods they just sit there are 51% I thought maybe it was the old AirPods but I just got the pro's and they would shut sit there are 51% is it the charger or just something with the AirPods cases?

I have a RavPower USB C 61W and it charges my AirPods Pro with no issues.

Apple doesn't mention any limitations on the charger. I've love to test my own AirPods but I don't have a USB-C to Lightning cable.

its done it with the classics and now the pro's. it will charge to about 51% then it just sits there. this is using apples cable too.

Yes. I think you can rule out the AirPods, since you've tried two pairs. That would leave either the cable or the adapter as the culprit. Of the two, I'd say the cable is less suspect. Weird though.

I have tried several sets of the old airpods. I have a new cable so I can try that. the setup works fine on my iphone and does fast charging.

I guess that just leaves the charger. From what I can tell, USB-C chargers negotiate power with devices. They're not dumb devices like old chargers that just provide volts and amps. Maybe your charger isn't able to negotiate with the AirPods case.

I just use the good ole 5W Apple charger for my Pros while at work. It fully charges from 10% to 100% in less than an hour. At home, I just use an Apple 12W charger. Don’t see a difference in charge times with either one.

I started changing things over from USB A to USB C. The RavPower and cable (not Apples) I use to “quick” charge my 11 ProMax, my 12 ProMax, and AirPod Pro. O also have a second unit that I keep USB C to USB C for my IPP 11 and MB.

Honestly I never gave it a thought. The AirPods case was low so I just plugged it in. Plugged them in a little while ago and right up from 24% tp 100%. Here is the unit and actual cable I use. 10 ft cable 🤭

well ya but I don't have a spare usb for a apple cable I have way to many usb things that need charged and I have the usb c available. its just strange it wont charge on that.

nope even with a cable change. I notice the airbuds pretty much stop charging too. so it is screwing something up.

Strange too when I look at the claims it does not list any iPhone 12 items either.

Just received a RavPower 65W 4 Port (2-A 2-C) and everything charges on it.

I would get a new charging unit. Doesn’t look like a cable issue.

I don't need to charge my phone much anymore on it since the 11 as it gets such good battery life so I am not going to worry about it.
