Can't connect to ethernet connection with new MB

Hi guys,

I just got a new macbook and I can't connect to the internet using an ethernet connection. I'm trying to connect at my dorm and I've used two different ethernets in two different room. Every time it tries to connect, I get 10.10.10.91 IP address, which isn't working.

However, WiFi is working.

Any suggestions?

Does it work on any computer?

Or is it just the MB that is not working?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the internet is working on other computers.

So I connected another computer to the ethernet connection and copied down the information (ip, subnet mask, etc) and then manually entered the info on my laptop and it connected to the internet. What do you guys think the problem is?
