Can't connect to non-existent server

Both my MacBook Pro & MacPro are wired into my network connected to a QNAP NAS which **WAS** at IP 10.0.1.8 however, that NAS address has changed to 10.0.1.2

The connective to this new IP works flawlessly and all the directory shares are fine. But one problem remains:

I'm getting these extremely annoying pop-ups "There was a problem connecting to the server "10.0.1.8" (shared directory icon shown). Of course the NAS doesn't exist at this IP any longer but I can't get rid of this annoying popup.

Anybody have an idea how solve this?

Do you have the server volumes in your login items or is there a file from the server in login items?

chrfr, This is it! Yes, I had a whole bunch of "login items" which were directory shares. I had assumed these would update automatically when the NAS IP changed....OOPS! That's not how it works.....so deleted all those directory shares and re-entered them and all is well. Just didn't think of this.

These may have updated if you're just using the Bonjour name (if possible in your network) and if the Bonjour name hasn't changed, which wouldn't usually happen if you merely changed the IP address. Otherwise, login item URLs are hard-coded to that particular IP address.
