I have a Windows machine at work that is set up to allow Remote Desktop. While i'm at work and on the network, I can connect to it fine using RDP from my Mac using Catalina. However, now that i'm working from home, when I try to connect from my home network using my work VPN, i get error 0x104. Any idea what the issue is?

Once you're in the VPN, are you connecting via an IP : port address? Is there an alternate fullname : port that you can try?
There can be any number of reasons behind this, from Domain Name suffixes (this is where testing this out using just the IP address comes in) to VPN firewall blocking to where the VPN exits in relation to the corporate network.
If the IP address solution doesn't work then you may be better served chatting with your work technical support help desk rather than here since the issues is very likely to be resolveable by them.
