Can't connect to SSH in iNdependence

Ok so I'm running through the activating/jailbreaking/unlocking etc using iNdependence and anySIM. After I install the SSH tools in indepedence and try to connect to the phone I get the message "Couldn't connect to SSH server. Ensure IP address is correct, phone is connected to network, and SSH is installed correctly"
I've used dottie and alpine but nothing...

Anyone? I need to install the pre-1.1.1 files in order to update back to 1.1.1
