can't connect w/ HDMI

just bought apple tv and my hdmi jack on my LCD broke.
what is the next best way to connect?

TV has VGA jack. is this same as AVI?

component video is the other option but I don't think it supports 1080p.

Yeah, Component video is the next one. The fact that that doesn't support 1080p is redundant, as neither does the AppleTV.
