I am new to jailbroken phones and Cydia and have searched but have not been able to resolve this issue.
I have a 3G running the latest 2.1 firmware. Jailbroke several days ago with no issues. However I am having trouble "connecting" my iMac to the iPhone via Open SSH.
On the Terminal screen on the iMac I type the command "ssh root@(iPhone IP address). I'm prompted for the password and it accepts "Alpine." Then I'm prompted with "local host:~root#" I have no idea what this means and haven't been able to work around it. The iMac is set for "remote login" within the Sharing menu. The iPhone has SSH set to "on."
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
