Hey all,

Strange thing happening. When I try to drag a video out of Photos to my desktop, it will not copy. Though, in the background, it is doing something because when I've done this and try to quit Photos, it provides a warning saying that it is exporting files and it will be canceled if I quit.

These are not large files I am trying to move. And I've even tried old videos that I know are small in comparison. I don't understand why this is taking so long...

Also, you can no longer right click on anything in Photos and copy it. It is simply not an option. WTF?

Thinking this through more, I think it has something to do with Photos downloading thing from iCloud and then processing...still seems like this should be much faster on this machine.

Check at your activity monitor. More likely network (internet) bottleneck.

I don't know if this will work for you. It worked for me, but I don't keep photos in the Photos library.

Open Photos.
Get to the video you want to export. Don't play it.
Now go to the File menu.
Do you have a choice there "Show file in finder" (or something similar)?
If so, choose it.
This should open a finder window and you can see the actual file.
Can it now be copied elsewhere? (to anywhere you want)
