Resolved Can't delete cloudpaird files from trash

I have two files (cloudpaird) in my trash that won't delete. I have tried holding down the option button while clicking on empty trash, and I hear the sound of trash exiting, but its still there. When I go into trash and highlight one of the files and try to delete, it says I don't have permission to access some of the files.

In looking at "Get More info" The locked file box is not checked.

Any ideas of how to fix this?

I do not know what cloudpaird is, according to: http://triviaware.com/macprocess/all#C it's not listed as a known 'official' apple app, you'd have to run Console perhaps to get more details?

The files in the trash are old system files.

Try to boot to another system other than Mac OS X to delete them. But first you need to find a way to get r/w access.

I have a boot camp Windows installed on my Mac, thus I can use this Windows to delete files cannot be deleted under Mac OS X.

cloudpaird belong in /System/Library/Coreservices/

You need to disable SIP to delete it.

reboot in recovery (hold CMD-R while booting.) - Go to utility menu - select terminal - type CSRUTIL DISABLE, press enter. type REBOOT, press enter,

After reboot, you can empty trash.

I can't believe that I didn't think about this. lol I had done some work with CAT earlier.
