Can't Delete duplicate x 1,000 bookmarks

I have the same problem, though I caught and turned off bookmark syncing before it got that bad! It is really annoying - it seems to work for most people and I cannot figure out why it gets so screwed up for me. I ended up getting so irritated with it that I switched to Chrome on both my iMac and my MBA.
