So I have successfully migrated from my 2011 27" iMac to my new M1 iMac. As was expected, even with Rosetta, some Apps will not run on the new machine. Apps that will not run and a circle with a line through it over top of the App's Icon. In some cases, I am able to drag and drop the app into the trash.

However, there are several Apps that I want to delete but when I drag the icon to the trash, nothing happens. Has anyone else run into this issue and do you know a solution?

UPDATE: I solved the issue. I was trying to delete these apps but opening the App folder from the Dock, then dragging the icons to the trash - this was not working. I ended up going into the Application folder via Finder and from there I was able to move the apps to Trash.
