How do I turn OFF 3G?
I don't get 3G reception and I am doomed to having a paperweight at night.

I need to turn off 3G but leave data on over GSM/GPRS (2G).

There is no 3G button.
Help?

iOS 5 is ridiculous!

Can not disable 3G on 4s?! POS!

I'm using the same simcard that my galaxy 2 can use 2G only and so could the iphones!

Really annoyed about this.

I normally have Wifi signal at home/work, and in most cases where I dont have Wifi, I have a stronger signal on 2G than 3G.

Seems an unnecessary waste of battery, my iPhone 4S is literally just lasting a day, down to 20% by about 10pm with average usage.

I asked in my local Apple and they said it was too soon to offer any Support. But I dont know if its Apple or a network thing that can be changed with a carrier settings update?

Under general>network> cellular data, just turn that off and it restricts it to just wifi.
This is basically the same thing.
