I went to download Xcode 7.2 using App Store and it says:

"we could not complete your purchase
A server with the specified hostname could not be found"

Any ideas? Last time I used a link that had all kinds of downloads and didn't go thru the App Store, it was thru some Apple dev site (IIRC).

Well it went from that message to a wait icon. I let it go for a few hours and nothing.

Went to the https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ and found the .dmg and it looks like it's working.

Something's wrong with the main download page, but this one is working.
[doublepost=1457101041][/doublepost]BTW, it requires 10.10.5... Just in case anyone has an older version.

At least I didn't replace the old xcode, I'll have to do a backup before I do an upgrade.

I learned the hard way to back up older versions of Xcode before updating one to many times.

I had 2 backup devices and 2 hard drives fail within about 6 months. I dug up an old 200G Maxtor for the job. She still works and is one of the oldest drives I still have around.
[doublepost=1457115314][/doublepost]Well I got everything up and running and found the 1st problem. No sound. I guess I'm going to have to go dig up those install files and figure out what to change.

It's more of a hackintosh question, but can I pull the extras from the backup and use move those into the same directory on the boot drive or does it require a full rebuild of the OS?
