I want to get the Dimincall app from my old phone and install it on my new phone. The new phone is a iphone 4 (6.1.3) and cant be jailbroken or else I would just install it from cydia. My problem is I cant find it on my old phone to transfer to my new phone.

1) Does anyone know where to find this app on my old phone? I have ifun on my mac and the app does not show up in the app list. Its not really an app, it just shows up in the preferences and I can turn it off and on.

2) Is there a trust worthy source online where I can find this app. I am assuming I can just install it on the new phone with instasign.

Thanks

You need to wait for a JB to install that app.... can't really just transfer it form the old to the new phone like that.

Are you sure

Hold on.
So you're trying to install a cydia JB package on a stock iphone?:D

I thought that was the whole point of instasign and zeusmos. I just read about these websites/Mac apps from engadget and other website yesterday. It says you can install ipa without a jailbroken phone. So are you saying I'm wrong or have you not heard of instasign and zeusmos?

I have not heard about them but I assume they are only for installing App Store apps, not cydia apps

cydia apps are .deb and install directly to the filesystem.

apple store apps are .ipa and go through normal procedures of installation. Another note, if you are not jailbroken, you can't just 'install' an ipa, they would not have the correct signatures for your phone.

Besides that, assisting with piracy is not permitted here.

Buy your apps !

Wow! thanks for the love. I simply posted this question because I was looking for help. not a lecture on piracy. The app is paid for but since the new phone is not jailbroken I cannot simply go to cydia and reinstall it.

Everything I have read on those programs from reputable websites (engadet.com, geek.com, etc) say you CAN install ipa and deb files on non jailbroken devices by these methods. ASSUMING you can install them on non jb devices, any idea on where I can find this ipa or deb? As stated Ive already paid for it on cydia so im not stealing it. Just need to find the ipa or deb so I can at least TRY to install it with the methods already mentioned. If it doesnt work then it doesn't work. Any ideas.

You cannot install cydia apps on a nonJB iphone.
How do you plan on installing a cydia .deb on a stock iphone?
There's tons of sites with bad info, whatever you come across on the internet is not always correct.

If you can install Cydia apps with being jailbroken, well then what's the point of being jailbroken?!?

You can only install ipa files (purchased AppStore apps or else it'll be useless) on an unjailbroken iPhone

Deb files are cydia apps and they require a jailbreak. Theoretically speaking, it's possible for them to install (as long as it's an app - for example, protube - and not a tweak, but whether it'll function is a different story

.

It's not a matter of a lecture on Piracy, it is matter that talking about those process and app is against "this" forums rules.

Also, you did got the answer, you are trying to do something that is just no possible, installing deb app (Cydia packages) is not possible unless you are JBed, IPA stand for "iPhone application archive" and only Apple can package those (legally). the package you are looking for are deb, Debian Linux package, in order to install those you need a linux tool chain install (which happen during the JB process).
