Can't Find Mac HD

When I search for Mac HD in finder it appears, I then try to move it to my desktop and it does not allow me. I don't know what I did or what to do to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

In the menu bar go to Finder>Preferences then in make sure the four check boxes for "Show these items on the Desktop" are checked.

Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the Desktop: > Hard disks.

Finder > Preferences > Sidebar > check or not if Macintosh HD is checked or not.
