I just bought a new ipad 9th to replace my old ipad. I found a lot of commands that work on the old ipad don't work on the new ipad so I thought maybe I would just download a user manual, except I can't find one to download.
I find links that take me to Apple's online guide but I would like to have a PDF that I can refer to offline because that's typically where I use the ipad.
I find links to download the book through the books app on the ipad. I go to books, log into my account, find the manual, tap on "get" and it says "done", except it doesnt do anything. The book never shows up in my library.
I found a link on Apple's website to supposedly download a pdf of the manual but there is no actual button to start a download.
All of the third party sites I found that have manuals to download have very old ones.

I can help you sort this out, and I'll assume you're running iPadOS 15. In the Books app, I can see it on my iPad under the Library > Books category. Under which category are you looking for your download?

After you downloaded it, did you see a Read button next to it?

What happens if you go to https://support.apple.com/en_US/manuals/ipad, find the iPad OS 15 User Guide (in the first row), and tap on the Books link? Can you see if in the Books app > Library > Books category?

Would you also share the Apple link you found to download the PDF?

I could find the manual through the Books app, I just couldn't successfully download it. The app said it downloaded but the book did not show up in the library. I have not tried to download any other books.

Check the Files App. Look on the left where it says ‘Downloads’.
