Hi,

I have launched both of them via the package contents mac os folder, imovie will launch etc but wont let me save any movie

final cut pro x just gets stuck on loading screen

im running 10.10 beta 2

Any ideas? or alternatives

Not to sound coy, but the solution that comes to my mind is to go back to 10.9.

The release notes SPECIFICALLY said these will not work. I presume you're not a developer. Before upgrading, at least look for the release notes posted somewhere. That will A) make you aware of what you're actually doing and what ramifications may be there, and B) prevent threads like this clogging up for forums.

This is for Mac developers. Not iOS developers. Are you confused? Either way, its in the release notes, these programs have known issues and they do not work well, if at all. Don't install DP's on a VITAL/WORKING machines.

If you don't actually do Mac development, you should not be on 10.10. It's too unstable. And it's not meant to be stable, obviously.

Again, unless you are actually doing development, wait until the public beta.

As the release notes noted (which you should read before installing), a lot of stuff is broken.
