Having looked through this board, I haven't found this specific problem.
This is my first time trying to burn some tunes pruchased from iTunes onto an audio
CD with an Iomega LG 4x2 DVD+R/W RAM, CD-R/W At USB External
device. I use a Mac G4 w/400 mh. running on OS 10.3.
The files are "protected AAC" files, and will not play on the finished CD, though each song plays normally on the computer.
iTunes doesn't recognize this device. When I go to the iT preference window, it just shows "no supported disk burners found." I use the "Discribe" software that came with the burner, which works just fine on burning tunes imported from CD's.
Other information:
The response from Iomega was basically that it's iTunes' problem. Response from iTunes was just a generic instruction page that says to click on the burn button. (Nothing happens.)
Also, iT won't let me change the downloading preference for purchased tunes--it will only import an AAC file.
Can anyone tell me how to get iTunes to recognize the device? Or any other solution? I'd hate to find out I can't burn a CD from purchased tunes. iT is going to lose a lot of business from me.
I'd really appreciate any input anyone can give me. Thanks!
