I can't get my TV to display video from my MacPro.
The TV: Panasonic TC-P42S60 42-Inch 1080p 600Hz Plasma HDTV (2013)

• Mac Pro 5,1 3.3GB 2010 Nehalem, OS 10.6.8, Radeon 5700, 16GB RAM
• Running Snow Leopard 10.6.8
• This Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter Cable in the mini displayport:

• This 30' HDMI cable running from the above adaptor to my Samsung UN40EH5050 LED HDTV, HDMI/DVI port 1 in:

I turn both the TV and Mac off, turn on the TV with Source to the HDMI/DVI port being used (I have tried both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 inputs), then boot the Mac. The TV stays black, and System Profiler>Displays show no recognition of another display device at all. The same thing happens even if I unplug the monitor before booting the Mac Pro. I also tried it with a 3' HDMI cable with the same result, so the issue is not cable length.
Is this likely to be a Snow Leopard issue or a hardware issue where the TV does not send an I.D. signal to the Mac? There has got to be a solution to get my video running on the TV. Help please!
