Can't get mail with automatically migrated account

Several month ago I singed up for a free trial, but didn't upgrade it to a paid service. Recently Apple has transferred my account to iCloud, so I'd like to use it again. I log in to iCloud easily, but can't get access to my mail. How to get it work?

P.S. I've just created a new Apple ID with a free iCloud email address, and it works fine. But I really want to use my previous username.

Why not contact apple. I'm sure there developer forum has some stuff on this.

I wonder if the issues you're having is related to your account being market as expired

Two thoughts:

1. Doesn't it say that you can't use a @me.com address with development iCloud setup? So don't expect it to work during the beta

2. I'm still a little skeptical that people will be able to get expired names back. May have been migrated but maybe you just won't be able to access it. Hope I'm wrong for your sake.
