Hi everyone,

I can’t pair my gen 1 Pro’s to my iPhone anymore. The problem started last week - when I picked them up to go on a run, the left AirPod couldn’t be found by my iPhone. At first I figured there was no charge in the left pod but that didn’t turn out to be the case.

In the end, I ‘Forgot’ the AirPods on my iPhone, turned my phone on and off, connected via Bluetooth and bam, everything worked and strangely, the left pod was 100% (even though I had only put it on charge for about 2 mins).

Yesterday, it happened again, left pod couldn’t be found, I couldn’t get it to appear even with putting it on charge so I followed the previous steps but no matter how many times I try, my iPhone won’t find the AirPods and the pod case just keeps pulsing white when I open it.

I’ve tried holding the button at the back of the case when it’s closed, when it’s open, I’ve tried turning off my phone, leaving the case and phone side by side (on charge) to try and pair but still nothing.

Any ideas?

The exact same thing is happening to me with both AirPods (same gen and everything)

Usually a RESET of the AirPods correct this issue, though I think you did it once, try it again. From the iPhone forget the AirPods, with the case open press and hold the button on the case with the AirPods inserted in the case. You should see the led to come on white for a few seconds then it will extinguish, this certifies that the AirPods have been reset. Close the case, then open the case next to your phone, it should re-pair with the phone and hopefully the issue you have reported will not return.
