Can't get past login screen with wireless Apple keyboard

I just finished restoring from a time machine backup and have to login. The problem is my wireless Apple keyboard isn't working when I am at the login screen.

The keyboard is probably not paired, if you have a USB one about, problem solved.

...yeah, doesn't the apple documentation state you have to set it up first with a wired keyboard...

If that's the case, how would you set it up on the new iMacs though

I found out exactly how to do that today. Just keep holding down the power button on the apple keyboard while its searching for a keyboard when you first boot your computer brand new. You'll see the green light on the keyboard light up and stay lit as long as you keep pressing the power button and it should detect it.
