I have an iPad Air 3 which seems to work seamlessly with my iPhone 11 Pro. Even though I seem to have the iPad air 4 set up the same way in messages, only iMessages work and not SMS. Can anyone think of something that I might be missing? Thank you.

On your iPhone, Settings ->Messages ->Text Message Forwarding. It might show both pads, but only the 3 is turned on.
