cant get that dang FB messenger. says I need newer Safari

than go check for updates. im told there is no newer stuff for me... I have a macpro 2012 Safari version 12.1.2 only reason im interested is I want to use Marketplace to give away stuff or buy something.... it ridiculous..... Drives me crazy....

To get a newer Safari you need a newer version of macOS. If you can't upgrade your OS, or don't want to, you should abandon Safari and look for a 3rd party browser (Firefox, Chrome, ...) that supports your old OS and might be new enough to have the services needed for the current FB Messenger.

Itried the box opens to respond but it wont work the cyror wont flash have tried prob for the last 2 or 3 weeks every other day over and over. I was able to write or send an original message to a seller etc but when they responded I couldnt reply to ask more etc
