Just successfull upgraded to 3.0, jb and unlock, but now I cannot connect to my wifi network?

I am sitting next to the box, full signal, working fine on my macs. The phone is showing full bar signal, but says it can't connect to the internet...

Web, YouTube, Emails - nothing works....

Help appreciated. Thanks

I think I'm having a similar problem. Unfortunately, I've also moved house shortly after plonking the new firmware on, so I also have a new router to deal with.

The problem is that Wi-Fi seems to connect fine. My router tells me that my iPhone is connected, my iPhone claims it's also connected to my router and all looks great. But I never get the wireless icon at the top of the screen and all Internet traffic still uses my standard phone signal (and hence is very slow as I can only get a GPRS class signal in my house). If I try and launch the YouTube app, it pauses for ages, then when I go back into settings, the Wi-Fi is now showing as disconnected once more.

Phone is an iPhone 3G running firmware 3.01. My router has WPA encryption enabled and the iPhone seems to accept the password for it fine.

Similar problem yes. Mine is a 2g. It shows full signal strength but won't connect.

Using the same modem routers as a couple of days ago when it was all working perfectly (why change eh, well... I was having trouble with receiving emails and was told to upgrade - LOL)

I'm sure we'll get some help soon

Try this:
1) On your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi
2) Select the network
you wish to connect with and clicked "Forget this Network" to start from scratch
3) Navigate back to the main Wi-Fi menu
4) Selected "Other..." to manually enter in my network name and password information
5) After manually entering the network name and password information, you may be able to successfully connect

Right, I've got it to work by disabling DHCP and going for a static IP address. With DHCP, it did seem to be connecting and my router was showing that an IP address had indeed been allocated to it, but the iPhone didn't want to know.

I did try forgetting the network then reconnecting and re-entering my WPA encryption key and it behaved the same as before.

Now that I've entered all the addresses manually, it seems to be firing on all cylinders now. Strange!
