so i downloaded the drivers from tattieblog and everything already and it registers when i press the button and everything, but every time i try to start playing star wars: force unleashed with the controller, it doesn't work.

can somebody PLEASE help me out...it's driving me nuts...

Not sure, but you may need to revert back to the older tattlebogie drivers (.08). See this thread for details on how to remove the latest drivers and install the older ones. No guarantee that this will fix your problem, but it's worth a shot.

I don't know about TFU but I know some people had issues with some versions of the 360 drivers with BioShock and the same thing could be happening with TFU.

I suggest

  • See if you can get another pad working first (like a logitech one) to make sure pad support works in TFU
  • Check that your 360 pad is being recognised, you can check this by looking in the preferences pane in System Preferences
  • Make sure you have it directly connected to your Mac (or through a POWERED hub), for best results try different methods see if any work.
  • Read the thread about downgrading to 0.08 and try everything again with those drivers.

I can't say much more as it is not a game I worked on and I have not played the Mac version but hopefully these tips might help you.

Cheers,

Edwin

Same problem...

I spoke with support at Aspyr and they said Star Wars the Force Unleashed had its own xbox 360 controller driver, but mine won't work for the life of me. I told them about tattie and they said that was the problem. What's the deal? Help!

I figure the Force Unleached game is designed to work with the 360 pad without using any drivers, by installing the tattie drivers you will have over-ridden the built in ones in the game so they cannot work.

Uninstalling the tattie drivers should I expect help. I don't have a copy of Force Unleached so this is just a guess based on similar issues we have had in the past with USB Overdrive which also can break pad support in games.

I know I need to uninstall tattie, but after trying to reach the creator with no success, there has to be some sort of buried file that I cannot find to remove. To me, it looks like I removed everything, but it's obviously not the case. Edwin, do you know the name of every file that tattie downloads on computers and their locations? This would greatly help our cause. Thanks in advance.

I broke open the installer for the 360 drivers and the following files appear to be everything that gets installed. Don't know if this will solve your problem but I hope it helps.

The "Library" & "System" folders in the image above are the ones on the root level of your hard drive usually called "Macintosh HD".

Thanks. Erased them all and still does not work. Bummer.

Yeah the 360 Pad support appears to be a bit of a dark art right now. If you do find a solution please let us know, in the meantime I can tell you we are looking at what we can do to improve the 360 pad support or at least work out what is going wring with the drivers. If myself or anyone at Feral finds out anything more about what other files might be altered I will make sure this thread is updated.

Cheers,

Edwin
