Can't Import From Pre-2008 Pages, Numbers, and Keynote

An incentive to upgrade, I know. I have Pages, Numbers, and Keynote '08, and I can't import files from them. But you can import from Office all the way back to 2003. Seems pretty shortsighted. Yet another incentive to keep using Microsoft Office on my home computer.
 
After spending $800 on this thing the last thing I want to do is pay for an iWork upgrade.
