Can't install BossPrefs on 2.1 3G

I just hacked my phone and I'm trying to install BossPrefs. I click install and it proceedes, however I don't see the usual commands on the screen then it says "Complete" and I click return to Cydia. However, at that point I don't see an icon for it nor is it reflected as an installed package. What am I doing wrong?

doesn't sound like your doing anything wrong... I'd restart the phone and see if the icon shows up... If not, I'd just jailbreak it again and try bigboss again...
