Each time I attempt to install Yosemite my computer restarts, a bar with an apple logo loads and then I get to the installer screen and it says

'OSX could not be installed on your computer
File system verity of repair failed
Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again'

I have no idea what is wrong, I have done this five times now and it's failed each time. I have a Samsung 840 EVO ssd if that makes a difference, I need my Mac to work so if someone could help me I would really appreciate it.

Two ways to solve this, but both are time consuming.

Solution 1, do you have a external hard drive or a flash disk? Better be USB 3.0 because it could be faster.

Make a Yosemite installation disk using external HDD and boot from it.

Solution no2, backup all the stuffs and do a clean install of Yosemite, then restore your contents from backups.

Thank you very much for replying, I do have an external hard drive, don't beleive it is 3.0 though :(. I would do this but I cannot and do not know how to get my Mac to boot up normally now, Everytime I attempt to reboot my computer it goes back to the update to Yosemite screen and fails, is there a way to get past this and just load up Mavericks?

----------

Also I'm now in Internet Recovery mode, it's taking a while. Is doing this going to help or am I wasting my time?

Hit power putting, and then press command+R immediately before screen lights, it will take you to online recovery interface and you can download Yosemite and do a clean install here.
