Hello again Mac community.
I tried to turn on my 2011 15" MBP last night, got to the log in screen and couldn't move my mouse cursor. I often use a Bluetooth trackpad and mouse as I am a video editor, but they weren't turned on and out of range. I tried turning them on and using them, but no response. I also plugged in a USB mouse, but that didn't work either.
After holding down the power button I tried a PRAM reset and SMC reset. Nothing happens. It's like the keyboard has stopped working as well. I can't even get into recovery mode by holding Command and R.
I've disconnected the battery and held the power button down for 5 secs, but again no change. I've read that it could be to do with the ribbons underneath my battery, but I don't have the right screwdriver to undo the batt screws and I also feel that playing with those ribbons might be a bit above my pay grade.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and found a solution?
I have El Capitain OSX, 1tb solid state hard drive and 16mb RAM.
Thank you.
Sam
